Sunday gatherings are not what define Oasis, but they are an essential part of Oasis life. They provide an opportunity to gather together and celebrate in who God is, what He has done, and what He is doing across the community. There are three main elements: connecting with one another, centring on and celebrating in God, and receiving practical and dynamic teaching from the Bible.
Sunday Morning gatherings take place from 10:15am for a 10:30am start at the Oasis building on South Street, Harborne, and are also streamed online.
There are also moments to connect with God and one another in a variety of ways on Sunday Evenings - helping build a regular rhythm of practices that will do each of us good. This includes a focus on prayer, communion, and periodic meals (‘The Table’) to hear about different ways that God is at work in the city, nation and the nations. Find exact dates for each and more information via the ‘Events’ section.
Small Groups are a vital part of Oasis life. They provide an opportunity to be known and to know others in a smaller setting. Groups gather in various locations, at different times, across the city.
Drop smallgroups@theoasischurch.com an email if you’d like to find out more about Small Groups and how to connect with one.
A flexible space to come and encounter God through prayer and worship, to be responsive to and thankful for all He is doing amongst the community, and to keep seeking Him for more of His presence, provision and protection. The Gathering runs fortnightly on Wednesday evenings at South Street (check the ‘Events’ section for upcoming dates).
Oasis aims to offer children the very best experience possible, and so each Sunday there’s a chance for kids to share a time that’s all about fun, friendship and Jesus. A Crèche runs for 0-3s, there’s Rainbows for 3-5 year olds, and then Oasis Kid’s Club for up to 11 year olds - all running every Sunday morning from 10:20am at South Street.
A growing community of 11 to 18 year olds in the community gathering fortnightly on Fridays at South Street, plus on alternate Sundays during the morning meeting, to explore together what it means to live with God at the centre, as well as having loads of time to hang out and have fun. A great opportunity for anyone to explore the foundations of the Christian faith with no strings attached. There’s a free meal, time to connect, an engaging talk or video to watch, and group discussions that get to the heart of who Jesus is and what faith in Him means. Everyone is welcome, and there are usually several Alpha Courses run each year, so it’s never too long before the next one starts!
A learning community gathering to explore eight different spiritual disciplines over eight weeks. There’s space for discussion, learning, practice and feedback, and several ‘Living Centred: Practices’ sessions are run across the year - check out the ‘Events’ section to find out when the next one is and sign up!
